Hello everyone! As i'm sure you are aware of, many people, including myself have taken part in a mass X-odus from Elon's MAGA hellscape, and are heading on over to https://bsky.app

In my week or so on the site, i've picked up a few useful bits of knowledge which i'm hoping to share. I don't have a particular order for which tips & tricks get shared when, but a friend was in need of this one tonight, so I thought I would share a guide on how to make a Moderation List (aka a Block list), that allows you to make a list of users and be able to mass block or mute them all with one click. This is useful for creating blocklists to be shared around on the site, and keeps your feed clear of spam, abuse, and other such harassment (whether that be from MAGAs or elsewise).

I'm going to make 2 versions of this post, one for the Desktop site, and one for the mobile app. This will be for the desktop version. Important user interface elements that are not as obvious are underlined in red in all steps.

Step 1: On the sidebar, click on the settings button

Step 2: On the settings page, click on the Moderation option

Step 3: On the moderation page, click on the Moderation Lists option

Step 4: On the Moderation Lists page, click on the New button

Step 5: A popup called "New Moderation List" will appear as shown in the image below. Enter a title ("List Name") and description for your list in the appropriate fields here. You can also add an icon to your list by pressing on the little camera icon where it says "List Avatar". Once you have completed entering all information about your list, click save.

Step 6: After clicking save in the previous step, you will be brought to the newly created list's page. To add a user, click on the "Add" button.

Step 7: After clicking the add button, this will pop up a search box. Click in the "search for users" field, and type in a username.

Step 8: For example, I typed the word "wowhead" into the search box, and 4 users appeared. Click the "add" button next to any users to add them to your list. When you finish adding users this way, click the "Done" button.

Step 9: After clicking the "Done" button it will redirect you back to the list page, and you can see the user "wowhead" has now been added to our list.

Now that i've guided you through creating the list and adding users from the list page, i'm going to teach you how to add a user to your list from their profile page.

Step 1: Navigate to the profile of the user you wish to add your list. In this example I am on ketsuki.bsky.social's profile. Click the 3 dots next to the follow button.

Step 2: Select the "Add to Lists" option from the menu that appears

Step 3: Select the "Add" button that appears on the same line as the name of the List you wish to add the user to. In this example, our target list "Test 2", is the very first option (because it is my most recently created list). And then select the "Done" button at the bottom of the pop up.

Step 4: This will take you back to the list's page. You will see any users added to the list on the page. To use a Moderation list, you want to click on the "Subscribe" button at the top of the page.

Step 5: You will then be given the option to Mute or Block accounts. Whichever option you pick, it will apply your preference to anyone on the list. Anyone you add to the list after you have selected one of these two options will have that preference be applied automatically.

Step 6: After selecting an option, refresh the list page. The subscribe button will now say either "unmute" or "unblock" (depending on which option you chose), and the profile pictures of the users will be blurred out.

Step 7: Next, to share your list with everyone, click the three dots next to the "subscribe"/"unmute"/"unblock" button, and choose "copy link to list". Then you can make a new post and paste the link into your post from your clipboard.

Enjoy!

Edit - If you're still having trouble, here's a quick no frills video of me doing all the steps! (when I made the post to share the list, I used the keyboard shortcut ctrl + v to paste the link to the list into the post)

"TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Kid Rock was spotted apparently drinking a Bud Light Thursday night, months after calling for a boycott, according to TMZ.

TMZ obtained a photo and video that appears to show Kid Rock holding the can of Bud Light while at a Colt Ford show at Skydeck in Nashville. Other users on X, formerly known as Twitter, have posted photos from other angles.

Many X users were mocking Kid Rock, calling him a “hypocrite” and a “poser.”

Kid Rock went viral in April for posting a video in which he shot up a bunch of Bud Light cans in protest of the company partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

“The former rocker seemed pretty relaxed as he clutched the blue can, taking sips while chatting and laughing with some friends,” TMZ reported. “Unclear if there were other beer options available, but Kid Rock’s choice seems pretty shocking considering how hard he went in on the brand earlier this year.”

Anheuser-Busch InBev, which owns Bud Light, said its total U.S. market share for all brands fell more than 5% to 36.9% in April, but then remained stable from the end of April through the end of June. Some of the company’s brands, like Busch Lite and Michelob Ultra, have gained U.S. market share.

Still, the Bud Light saga has been a costly one for the brewer. In June, Bud Light lost its place as America’s best-selling beer after more than two decades, slipping into second place behind Mexican lager Modelo Especial. InBev also owns Modelo, but in the U.S. the brand is imported and sold by Constellation Brands.

In the month ending July 22, Bud Light’s U.S. retail sales were down 26% compared to the same period a year ago, according to Nielsen data compiled by Bump Williams Consulting. Its year-over-year sales declines have been in the 25% to 30% range every month since the backlash began, the consulting company said.

The Associated Press contributed to this report."

Don't have much to say on this one, just basically am using this post as a test bed to make sure posts look right. Fuck the pushers of the panic (of which kid rock is def in the pusher category), and those too stupid to see through it. Trans rights are human rights.
